Short Blog 7- Comment on Erin Jeong’s Long Blog 2

Erin, I love the topic you chose to write about as it is one I haven’t seen a lot of media coverage on. This is due to, like you mentioned, the unnecessary stigma around periods which greatly affects our access to these essential products. I enjoyed learning about the previous efforts and successes to remove the tax on menstrual hygiene products after many years of advocacy. Although this was a victory, I thought your emphasis on how many women still struggle to gain access was important to understand the future of this problem. Menstrual health is a biological part of every woman’s life and should be treated as such from our governments and peers. I think your piece does a great job at explaining the problem, the causes, and the solutions. Great job!
